My artwork consists of items that I value in my daily life.  I created my art by using a micture of patterns as well as shades of color as well as distorting the size of the objects throughout the page. The big idea of this is the contrast of my favorite color (blue-green) with two hot colors in orange and red. At first I didn't really have any goals. I just wanted to get it done, but after beginning the project I was interested and became more and more engaged in what I wanted to do with the work instead of just finishing it for a grade. I think it came out great, I usually don't really care about what I draw, but this project was different. I really enjoyed doing it and I'm really proud of my work.

This is a painting I made using an ink blowing technique. I made trees our of the stems of the ink trails and colored a landscape.

This is a clay pallet that I made. This was a project where I made an impulse decision to just make a lizard! This project really taught me how to work through adversity and persevere. Near the beginning of the project, my piece wasn't looking too hot. Even though I wasn't liking it, I pushed through and fixed as much as I could to make the best piece I could. I am really proud of how it turned out, It may not be the prettiest piece in the world, but I am really glad about how it turned out and I would love to do another in the future.

This is a landscape painting that I made using acrylic paints as well as an assrtment of paint brushes and pallet knives. It is inspired by a video made by Bob Ross. Going into this, I had no expectations due to the fact that I had never painted before. I loved doing this and I was really pleased with the results. It was really calming, thinking that there were no mistakes to be made. This project really allowed me to branch out and take risks instead of being scared of messing the painting up. I am really proud of myself and I surpassed my expectations by miles.

This is a one point bird's eye perspective drawing that I made. This piece really allowed me to draw freely and make whatever I wanted. I had the expectation of something at least decent coming out as the final product and I think I met those expectations. This was an enjoyable project and I never stressed over it. I look forward to create more of these in the future and hopefully improve my skills as I attempt this more.

These are felt pancakes that I made using felt as well as thread. I used a blanket stitch for each pancakes, then filled them with stuffing. I used a running stitch to sew on the syrup and butter onto the top pancake. My reason for choosing pancakes as my food of choice is just the fact that I love a good pancake. Waffles just don't come clos to a nice fluffy buttermilk pancake. For this piece, I didn't know if I was going to make a good piece or not, I just went in and used the techniques I was taught. I think It came out really well, I know there's more I could do in the future to make it look better but I love the way it turned out.

This is a practice felt sculpture that I created. I went for a bear head, as it was supposed to be a Christmas present/ ornament for my mom. I used a blanket stitch to sew the head together and made a simple running stitch for the facial features. This was my very first time sewing and I had no expectations for what I wanted, but I wouldn't change my final piece one bit. I think it turned out amazing and my mom loved it.

These are two watercolor paintings that I created. One was of a mountain terrain with a forest beneath, and the other was a sunset over a shore. Going into this, I had never really experimented with watercolors. I had no idea that paintings like this were even possible. I blew my expectations out of the water with these two paintings. Sure I made mistakes, but I still love how they turned out.

These were prints that I made from carving linoleum and painting the shape, then pressing them on the paper. I've never really done this before so I didn't really know what was gonna happen. I think I did okay, my linoleum was a little flimsy so I kept making little lines on the edge of my prints. I thought that the process was fun overall and I would love to try it again.

This is a print that I made of an album cover created by Brooks and Dunn called Brooks and Dunn Greatest Hits. I made the actual print out of a linoleum block that I carved using a carving tool. I really enjoyed this project and it didn't feel challenging to me. I had a lot of fun and would like to do it again in the future.

This is a surrealism drawing/painting that I made using watercolor as well as colored pencil. I used items starting with the letter R. This includes ruby, road, and remote. I really enjoyed this project because it forced me to think as if I was in a dream. I am really happy and pleased with how this turned out and I would love to do it again.

This is a 3D graffiti piece that I made out of cardboard. I used acrylic paint for the colors and put spacers between the layers to give it the 3D effect. I had fun painting the designs of the cardboard and I really like how the design came out and I would like to try this again on a larger scale.

This is a painting that I made inspired by a video made by Bob Ross. It consists of a mountain ridge over a lake in a pine tree biome. I used acrylic paint along with a variety of brushes and pallet knives. I wanted to try and go for a painting where I wasn't thinking about it being perfect. Rather enjoying the process and having fun. Going into this, I had no expectations for myself. I would say I surpassed my expectations on every level. I love the results of this painting and I hope to do it again in the future.

This is a clay pallet that I made. This project was a project where I made the impulse decision to just make a lizard! This project taught me perseverance and showed me how to work through adversity. Near the beginning of the project, my sculpture was not looking great, but I pushed through and made it as presentable as I could. I had never done clay sculpting before this, so I really had no thought of how I truly wanted this to turn out, but I liked the results. It's not the best piece in the world but I am proud of myself for making the best of it no matter what went wrong.
